Human Resources
Employees are recruited, screened and hired by the Human Resources Department. The office maintains employment records for all certified, non-certified and substitute personnel.
Employment policies and benefits are facilitated through this office. Transcript evaluation and approval of continuing and graduate education courses for district personnel are also the responsibility of the Human Resources Department.
In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund are required to post the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000 per year. A copy of the District’s IMRF compensation report is posted in the Belleville Township High School District 201 Office, 920 North Illinois St., Belleville, IL 62220.

Substituting for District 201
Interested in becoming a substitute teacher? Follow the below steps to get on the BTHS District 201 List of Substitutes.
1 Step 1
Obtain Substitute Teaching License via St. Clair County Regional Office of Education (ROE #50). Requirements and instructions can be found on the ROE website or contact them at (618) 825-3900 for guidance. There is an option to be added to the St. Clair Master Sub List, but this is not required.
2 Step 2
Complete District 201 intake paperwork. Forms can be printed from here or picked up at the District 201 Board Office. Gather these additional documents: copy of college transcript(s), driver’s license, SSN card or passport and proof of bank account (for direct deposit).
3 Step 3
Bus Driver Application
We’re looking for bus drivers! Starting pay ranges from $19.31-$26.58 per hour with training pay of $15/hr! Not to mention Major Holidays and Weekends Off with Child Ride Along.
No experience required! Applicants must be 21 Years of Age with Valid Driver’s License (3 yr. Minimum) and Clean Driving Record, Background Check, and Drug Screening Required.
