Southwestern Illinois College offers an array of adult learning experiences in our community. Individuals interested in earning a high school equivalency diploma should visit the SWIC Adult Education webpage to learn more about the opportunities that are available. In addition, SWIC offers preparation courses for those studying for high school equivalency exams.

SWIC offers free Citizenship classes to prepare eligible legal permanent residents for the United States naturalization process. In addition, SWIC offers basic English language instruction through ESL classes for adult community members, 16 years of age or older, whose primary language is not English. These courses are offered at no cost to eligible participants.

High School Equivalency Testing

For Illinois residents, High School Equivalency tests are administered at various testing locations throughout the state including the SWIC Belleville and Sam Wolf Granite City campuses.
