Our students at Belleville East are full of character. Here is a story of 2 Belleville East sisters that we helped several years ago. The definition of CARING- Being compassionate and showing others you care.
These 2 girls embody the meaning of CARING. They both always came to school smiling, completed homework, earned good grades, treated others with kindness, and found a way to be active and a part of their school. One of the girls confided in a teacher that her mom had lost her job which led to the loss of their home. They were currently living with a family member and struggling day to day.
When these girls were approached and told that we would like to help them during the holiday season, all they were concerned about was their mom and making sure that she could have some clothes to go on job interviews. They weren’t concerned about themselves, just making sure that their mom was ok. We were able to help their mom get clothes and other personal items. We also made sure these 2 CARING young ladies had a great Christmas! ~ Mrs. Seneczyn
