Parking and Vehicle Regulations
All students who drive to and from school, FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR OR ANY PART THEREOF, are required to register their vehicles and PAY AN ANNUAL FEE. This includes motorcycles as well as cars. Annual permits may be purchased in the bookstore. Any vehicle without a current parking sticker is subject to towing.
Any person who causes a vehicle to be located, drives a vehicle or has control of a vehicle in a school parking lot, shall be deemed to have consented to a search of such vehicle. The search may be conducted for any reason and at any time by school officials or by law enforcement officials at the request of school officials. The entirety of the vehicle shall be subject to search, including but not limited to, the passenger compartment, the trunk or the undercarriage of the vehicle and any containers located therein, whether locked or unlocked.
The following rules pertain to parking and student use of vehicles:
- Students are to follow directions of school personnel regarding use of parking lots.
- There will be no parking around the gymnasium or cafeteria buildings.
- The front bridge area is reserved for bus parking only. There is to be no other parking there at any time.
- Students who are driven to school should be dropped off at the front entrance by the bridge. Drivers waiting for students in the afternoon should wait in the parking lot along West Boulevard.
- At no time should students coming to school be let out of cars on Carlyle Road or West Boulevard as these are very busy roads.
- City and state traffic laws, as well as school regulations, must be observed while driving on Belleville Township High School East property. Students must drive slowly and carefully.
- All cars must be parked in the designated area on the school grounds.
- Students must observe all signs indicating parking areas, reserved areas, entrances, and exits.
- Students are not to loiter on the parking lot during the school day.
- A Belleville East parking permit decal must be displayed on the LOWER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE WINDSHIELD on all vehicles.
- Students receiving parking or driving tickets are required to report
immediately to the office of their assistant principal.
FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THE FOREGOING REGULATIONS MAY RESULT IN THE CAR BEING TOWED, REVOCATION OF PARKING PRIVILEGES OR OTHER APPROPRIATE DISCIPLINARY ACTION
