At its regular meeting on May 18, 2015, the Belleville Township High School District 201 Board of Education passed a resolution to name its Administrative Offices, the K. Lane and Anna Miller Administrative Center.

Mr. K. Lane Miller was appointed Principal of Belleville Township High School effective July 1, 1963.  He was appointed Superintendent of Belleville Township High School effective July 1, 1967 and was Superintendent of Belleville Township High School during the first full school year that Belleville Township High School operated two campuses, Belleville East High School and Belleville West High School.

Mr. Miller retired in June 1985 from Belleville Township High School District 201 after a 22 year career with the district.  He consistently demonstrated a dedication to the Belleville District 201 community and was widely recognized for his fairness to students.  Mr. Miller worked tirelessly to improve educational opportunities for the students of Belleville Township High School District 201 in establishing the K. Lane Miller Scholarship on June 27, 1985.  This year marks the 30th consecutive year Mr. and Mrs. Miller have provided scholarships for an East and West graduate.  We are appreciative of their generosity.

A ceremony to commemorate this occasion will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 10:00 am, at the K. Lane and Anna Miller Administrative Center, 920 North Illinois St., Belleville, IL  62220.
